C4P21 – Open Door

Now that our moment of levity is past, it’s back to the nightmare for us! With the reason for WHY Mizha’s unconscious mind is convinced she “killed” her mother. Emotion is not particularly logical. Guilt exceptionally so.
Several of you were curious about the Storytelling Competition I mentioned, so I posted a Summary of the Premise! It will be open to ALL media and storytellers — authors, artists, animators, radio hosts — if you can tell a story, we don’t mind if you use legos and jam! It will be opening for auditions in late May/early June. In the meantime, I’m slowly posting cast descriptions, such as Anubis, Loki, and Thoth.

Oh man…yeah the mind plays some seriously weird tricks!
Oh no.
I don’t even know what happened yet, but oh nooooo.
I hate that nagging feeling when you’re sure you did something like lock the door, but there is that seed of doubt: Did I really do it? Of course, the consequence for forgetting is not usually your Mom’s death. Curious to see how this plays out.
Very cool page. A particularly like how the door is opened but she still appears to be cornered.
Thank you! I had fun with the angles on this one to try and make a cornered feeling — glad it worked!!
“It’s open because someone unlocked it, duh?”

Boy, parents just won’t get a clue sometimes!
Yeah, sorry, this page is a bit of a downer, so I thought I’d put in some levity. Poor Mizha. Yeah, guilt knows no reason…
Nothing wrong with a little levity! I’ll admit, the tone shift is a bit sudden on this one. Had a bit of an “up” with Pakku and then Lu Pai and Milan, only to plunge right back down with Mizha again.
D: Poor Mizha!
I don’t think I’d want to even touch whatever is behind that door. Also, Mizha, why don’t you just close the door? Then, you would have a closed door instead of an open one.
If only dreams made that much sense… instead, they’re like paintball, exploding motherboards, and the MIB. Or, if you have the creativity of a full production crew, like a movie.
That’s actually a good thought, if only Mizha was in the state of mind to think of it! Even symbolically, it could possibly resolve a lot of internal problems if she could essentially go back and “close” the door.
