C2P28 – Bitter memories

|
They say “write what you know.” Pakku’s feelings here are my own. Sensory information is one of the most powerful forms of memory recall, and you never know when it’s going to hit you. The scent of lavender, the taste of a soup, the texture of a leather glove. You can’t always prepare for it, and when it hits you there are few feelings bleaker than remembering good times in the past and realizing how tainted they’ve become by the present.

Great example of showing instead of telling, as always. That last panel really helps the mood, too.
Don’t be sad/bitter/whatever, Pakku. At least you’re still rocking that jacket.
It’s true. He’ll always have fashion.
I wish I’d done the inks a little finer here, because the pencil lines had much more nuanced expressions that got lost a bit with the black. Alas. Next time!
the munch font makes me giggle.
nice page!
That’s another one of my hand-writing fonts. I use it for a lot of my organic sound effects (munch, sigh, etc) cause it has kinda a goofy look. Kinda like its creator – HA!
