C1P12: Didn’t Mean It
There’s a lot of history between Zhiro and Mizha that we’ll be uncovering as we go along. Of all these dream-sequence pages, this one by far has the most concrete relations to Mizha’s past, rather than her personality.

Wow how do you manage to make those backgrounds look like that? Like reality itself is breaking like a cell in the body crackling open to reveal something different, all the gore and veins, the dream world…
That’s actually very easy to do — it’s using a texture, which you can make in Photoshop from any photograph. There’s a tutorial on how to do that here: http://www.bittbox.com/photoshop/making-a-photoshop-brush-part-ii-texture-brushes
And a great source for textures is http://www.cgtextures.com/ !
Then all I do is make a gradient and put the texture on top. Two layers and done!
