Go ahead. Try it. I dare you.

I forgot to post a public vlog last week on Patreon, so I’ve done so with this week’s vlog instead! And I have some very exciting news to share with you!

The gist of the video, if you aren’t able to watch the video, is that I’ve been hired to be one of the instructors for the Pop Culture Classroom, the non-profit organization behind Denver Comic Con. The PCC uses comics to teach literacy and self-expression in classrooms. Income from DCC allows them to offer their workshops and lessons to under-served communities in areas around Denver, Fort Collins, Boulder, Colorado Springs, and more. I’m so excited to be joining a like-minded group of educators that see the incredible potential of comics to reach audiences of any age.

The uncertain part is I don’t know what this will mean for LeyLines. As I mentioned last month, on Patreon we’ve lost a few major patrons to changing financial situations, and no longer have enough to pay Sorrel for 2 pages a week every month. And with the new job, I don’t know how much time I will have to dedicate to LeyLines. I have enough buffer to make it to the break, and after that, we’ll see. Gotta adapt to the situation as we go. That might mean doing 3 weeks on, one week off, or 1 update a week, or batch updates. Don’t know yet, but I’ll keep you posted as I figure it out.

And as a related reminder, if you’re a creative person, please consider creating something for the LeyLines Fan-Work Contest. Entries are due July 1st! Learn more here. Thank you!

Oh no! I hope things can pick up on your (and their!) end; I wish I could donate myself, but I don’t even have a bank account. >.<

As for today's panel: Dang, Dream Eater. He's putting out some real burners, there!

It’s not really a bad thing, just a reality of only having so many hours in a day and so much energy to dedicate. I’m quite excited about the class! It’s just that, at least with present technology, I cannot be in two places at once. Soon as we figure out that self-splitting tech, schedules need never be impacted by the vagaries of time.
