Some of you may remember that back in December, when our Kickstarter was unsuccessful, Cory & I sat down and discussed how we’d make volume three a reality. We decided that we needed to build a nest egg, so that we could pay for half of the book on our own. Our plan was to do this through an increase in conventions, after school classes, Patreon, etc. I’m very happy to report that we’re making good progress on that goal. Right now we’ve raised half of that half, and we’ve still got three conventions to go, including two big events, Phoenix Comicon and Denver Comicon, both in early June. I’m also working on new merchandise, handling a big commission…heck, we’re even going to be doing a Creative Writing Birthday Party!
I’m really proud of the work Cory and I have done lately, and am exceptionally thankful to those that have been supporting this effort. Whether it’s chipping in a few bucks a month as a Patron, buying a book or print at a convention booth, or pointing me towards new options to grow. Slowly, but surely, we’re working up to that milestone. If all goes well, we’ll be launching a new Kickstarter for book three in July, with a more attainable goal. I’m allowing myself to get hopeful about this. I think we can do it, if we keep working hard, adapting, and pursuing opportunities as they present themselves!
Do you have a goal you’re making good progress on? What are you working towards right now?
