I know the tone shift is sudden, but I wanted the contrast here to be strong: Kali has lost her mother, and while it’s impacted her, life has gone on. Mizha’s mother, on the other hand, can’t let her daughter move on with life, even though death has ensured that Mizha is already lost to Naiome’s shade.

Also, I made a video. In my PJs. Whee.

So I’m watching this video and snickering to myself after having fallen asleep on my sketchbook and woken up again an hour and half later to try to get back to coloring this one page. (It’s totally almost done! Five more minutes!) It’s a good reminder during the NaNoWriMo month as well that making a plan for self-maintenance and staying a rational human being is the very best thing you can do for your creative projects. Especially since most of us aren’t PR mavens at heart and cranking out a page of art is a far preferable option than trying to fret over whether the 60 new-and-compelling tweets/podcasts/whatever to say the same thing were interesting enough.

I’m sorry. I laughed so hard at this video. It’s really good advice. But it’s SO TRUE that it’s laugh or cry. (Also, you’re funny.)

…I love how your last point makes Kickstarter sound like a bad kitty. “No! Kickstarter! Get off the couch!”

Also. I am so glad I have a legitimate reason to ship these two so hard.

Kickstarter is TOTALLY a bad kitty. At the end of the day, it snuggles up to you and makes you feel loved, but in the meantime if you don’t watch it like a hawk, it will get into your head-cabinets and bust up all your dishes.

And why do you now have a “legitimate” reason? What changed?

At first, they hadn’t really interacted at all. I was just, like, “OMG TAMA WOULD ANNOY HER SO MUCH. AND SHE COULD TEACH TAMA TO BE RESPONSIBLE AND JUNK.” And now they’re all bonding and talking about their families and stuff.

*bounce bounce bounce*

Good gracious, Robin. I swear, one of these days I am going to grab you and Ash, lock you both in a room full of blankets, pillows, poofy chairs, and LOTS AND LOTS OF ART SUPPLIES, and leave you both in there for at least a week. I will bring you chocolate. And tea. And also tasty, nutritious food, and YOU WILL TAKE CARE OF YOURSELVES, DAMN IT.

*shoots sparks from eyes*

Also, I love how this whole Tama-Kali is turning out. I think they could learn a lot from each other.

I have the sudden overwhelming urge to go back and like each and every comment you’ve ever gotten on this website, and add a few dozen to it telling you how awesome you are, just so you are validated properly. Now go take a nap!
